WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON, Pennsylvania and IRVING, Texas – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Steve Daniloff has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of NBC affiliate WBRE-TV and associated digital services, including PAHompage.com, serving Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA (DMA #56). In his new role, he will also oversee Nexstar’s relationship with Mission Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate WYOU-TV under a joint operating agreement. Since 2013, Mr. Daniloff has served as WBRE-TV Director of Sales where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the station’s sales department. Mr. Daniloff will assume his new responsibilities immediately and report to Theresa Underwood, Senior Vice President of Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.
Steve Daniloff replaces Robert Bee who has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Nexstar-owned WHTM-TV (ABC) and associated digital services, including abc27.com, serving Harrisburg, PA (DMA #43).
An accomplished industry executive, Steve Daniloff’s broadcast career spans over 25 years with expertise in local and national sales management, new business development and strategic planning across multiple media platforms. During his tenure as WBRE-TV Director of Sales, Mr. Daniloff developed and led highly effective teams and implemented sales, marketing and digital media initiatives that drove increased market share and profitability at the station. Before joining Nexstar, he served as Director of Revenue for WSAV-TV (NBC) in Savannah, GA (DMA #91) where he was responsible for developing revenue-generating strategies for the station’s local, national, political and digital advertising verticals.
From 2007 to 2011 he served as VP and General Sales Manager for Regional Sports Network, Root Sports, in Pittsburgh, PA (DMA #23) where he led a sales team tasked with selling over 240 live annual sporting events. During his tenure at Regional Sports Network, Mr. Daniloff delivered record revenue results and increased ad sales. Prior to that, he served as Regional Sales Manager for WEWS-TV (ABC) in Cleveland, OH, (DMA #19) and as General Sales Manager for WNWO-TV (NBC) in Toledo, OH (DMA #78). Earlier in his career, Mr. Daniloff served as Local Sales Manager for WKRC-TV (CBS) and WSTR-TV (MyNetworkTV) in Cincinnati, OH (DMA #36). Mr. Daniloff began his career at WOIO-TV (CBS) in Cleveland, OH (DMA #19).

After earning his B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago, Mr. Daniloff attended the University of Missouri Graduate School of Journalism where he studied Television News. He currently serves as a member of the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton Chambers of Commerce. He previously served as a Board Member on behalf several community organizations including the United Way of Luzerne County, United Way of The Coastal Empire, Shoes and Clothes for Kids (Cleveland) and Media Association of Pittsburgh. He also served on the Academic Advisory Committee of South University of Savannah and the Business Climate Subcommittee of Allegheny Business Conference of Greater Pittsburgh.
