Senators Udall and Heinrich Will Address Federal Response to Coronavirus Outbreak
Nexstar Brings Together More Than 1.5 Million Viewers Across 31 New Mexico Counties via Television Broadcast and Livestream Video
Albuquerque, NM and IRVING, TX (May 12, 2020) – Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST), announced today that it will host an exclusive live virtual Town Hall meeting, “KRQE News 13 Special Town Hall on Covid-19,” featuring both of New Mexico’s U.S. Senators on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at 6 p.m. MT on Fox New Mexico. The Town Hall will include U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D) and U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D), who will address the federal response to the coronavirus pandemic and take questions from viewers. Due to restrictions on large gatherings, both Senators will remotely join the broadcast and livestream.
The 30-minute virtual Town Hall will originate from the studios of the KRQE Media Group in Albuquerque, NM, and bring together more than 1.5 million viewers in 31 counties across New Mexico via live television broadcast and livestream video. The television broadcast will be hosted by KRQE-TV News 13 anchors Dean Staley and Jessica Garate and will air from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. MT on Fox New Mexico. A livestream video of the broadcast will be available at krqe.com. KQRE-TV has been soliciting questions from viewers for the last several days.
The Town Hall will open with Mr. Staley and Ms. Garate providing a recap of the latest developments in the pandemic and plans for reopening the state’s economy. The hosts will then pose questions to the participating Senators and feature questions submitted by viewers.
