Accomplished Local Broadcasting Executive to Lead KREX-TV (CBS) / Satellite Stations, KGJT-TV (MyNetworkTV), KFQX-TV (FOX) and WesternSlopeNow.com
Grand Junction, Colorado and IRVING, Texas (May 28, 2015) – Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Sandra Zoldowski has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of MyNetworkTV affiliate KGJT-TV, CBS affiliate KREX-TV and its satellite stations KREG and KREY, and associated digital services, including WesternSlopeNow.com serving the Grand Junction / Montrose / Glenwood Springs, CO (DMA #185). In her new role, she will also be responsible for managing KFQX-TV (FOX) under a local marketing agreement. Ms. Zoldowski will assume her new responsibilities on June 1, 2015 and will report to Brian Jones, Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of Nexstar Broadcasting.
Ms. Zoldowski replaces Randy Stone who was recently promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Nexstar’s television and digital operations in Monroe, Louisiana and El Dorado, Arkansas DMA (#137).
Sandra Zoldowski has over 25 years of combined broadcast television and marketing management experience with expertise in local and national sales, new business development and strategic planning across multiple media platforms. Ms. Zoldowski joined Nexstar in 2005 and six months after joining the Company was promoted to General Sales Manager of its television and digital operations serving the Billings, Montana market. She served in that capacity for three-and-a-half years before ascending to the role of Vice President and General Manager of KSVI-TV (ABC), KHMT-TV (FOX), and YourBigSky.com in 2009. Throughout her tenure, she developed and led highly effective teams that implemented sales and new media initiatives resulting in increased market share and profitability at the stations. In addition, she developed creative sales strategies that generated local and national revenue share gains while significantly increasing customer retention and new local direct business partners.
Before joining Nexstar, Ms. Zoldowski served Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (“KOA”), North America’s largest and most established system of family campgrounds, for over 16 years. While at KOA she ascended from her initial role as Marketing Programs Manager to National Marketing Director and was responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing efforts for over 500 franchisees in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Throughout her career she has demonstrated a results-oriented and entrepreneurial approach to the business of broadcasting and we are confident that her valuable management, marketing, and relationship building expertise will enhance the dominant leadership position of our broadcasting and digital operations in Grand Junction.”

Ms. Zoldowski earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Fort Hays State University. She serves as a Volunteer and Media Advisor to the Special Olympics of Montana. She previously served on the Billings Chamber of Agriculture Committee and Building Bridges Committee. She supported various charitable organizations throughout her career, including the United Way and the March of Dimes.
Sandra Zoldowski will be immediately relocating to the Grand Junction, CO community with her husband of 20 years, Kevin Zoldowski.
